Summary: Miracle Watt power saver does NOT lower electric bill as promised in their misleading advertising, as they justify that reduction by using a capacitor to reduce a certain part of the energy that you don’t’ get bill for originally.

It is similar to many other electricity saving box scams that don’t actually work.

I don’t recommend purchasing the Miracle Watt device even with the money back guarantee.

What Is The MiracleWatt Device?

MiracleWatt Device is a small box that is being promoted as a power saving device that you can plug into any of the socket outlets in your house, office, or workshop, and that it would “magically” reduce your electric bill by up to 25%.

MiracleWatt Energy Saver

The video on the sales page of the MiracleWatt electricity saver device justifies this bill reduction by the fact that works as a capacitor that preserves and saves energy for your appliances, but that’s misleading and untrue, as I will explain next.

How Does MiracleWatt Work?

On MiracleWatt’s website, it is claimed that you plug this device into the wall, and it magically does the following:

  1. Works as a capacitor in order to provide energy for appliances that have motors in them like AC’s, fans, and fridges.
  2. Regulates and stabilizes the electricity supply in order to protect your appliances and electronics, increase their efficiency, and prolong their lifespan.

How MiracleWatt Works

And while these claims make MiracleWatt look legitimate and worth the investment, but …

Does MiracleWatt Really Work?

No, MiracleWatt doesn’t really work as advertised when it comes to reducing electric bill by reducing and redirecting the “dirty energy” that some appliances require in order to operate.

I have explained this in details in my other article where I answered the question: do power savers really work?

But I will give you here a short explanation that is easy to understand without a technical background in electricity.

In short, electricity that you consume at home, office, or workshop, consists of two main components:

  1. Active energy, which does the hard work for operating all electric loads like lighting, heating, moving fans, operating AC units, ….etc. And this is what the utility meter reads, and it is NOT what Miracle Watt reduces.
  2. Reactive energy, which is responsible for creating an electromagnetic field for devices that have motors like fans and AC units. And this is a small amount of energy that utility meters DON’T read in the first place, and this is what Miracle Watt can reduce.

So, in short, two components of electricity, one that you get charged for, but Miracle Watt cannot reduce, and one that Miracle Watt reduces but you DON’T get charged for.

So, as you can see that this MiracleWatt energy saver is actually a device that works as a capacitor that reduces reactive energy, the part of energy that your meter doesn’t read and you don’t get billed for.

Does MiracleWatt Really Work

And this applies to all small consumers like homes, apartments, villas, workshops, offices, …etc.

Capacitors can be used only in big factories because these get billed for this part of energy “reactive energy” through special meters.

But then, these factories require big capacitors in specific sizes that specialists calculate and design.

Capacitors don’t lower electric bill for small consumers like homes and offices.

End of discussion, Miracle Watt CANNOT reduce your electric bill.

At the end of this Miracle Watt device Review, you will find alternatives to this device that work on reducing electricity bill based on real basis.

And you might ask now:

But What about The MiracleWatt Hoax of Eliminating Harmful Spikes?

I can tell you that it is not proven yet that Miracle Watt can eliminate voltage spikes, and there’s no detailed circuitry diagram that we can study to know if it really works or not.

But in general, assuming that you live in an area where there are lots of lightning strikes, continuous electricity outages, or big factories, and you experience some voltage spikes that might hurt your appliances, then the solution is not by getting some unproven device like MiracleWatt.

Instead, there are special devices that are called whole home surge protector devices, which are small ones that you connect to your electric panel.

Chances are that you might have one in your panel and not know it.

If you have concerns on this matter, you better call an electrician to check it out for you.

And these are manufactured by big companies with long experience in manufacturing electricity protection devices, like Siemens for example.

you don’t get them from unknown brands like MiracleWatt or Uber Watts that seem to be mass-produced and sold under different names.

MiracleWatt Price & Discount

MiracleWatt is being sold on their website for $59 a unit, and if you buy two, you get them for around $99, which means that you “save” $19.

And if you buy three MiracleWatt devices, you get them at $135, which means that you “save” around $42.

However, if you buy them, you will just get disappointed as they won’t reduce your bill because they only reduce the reactive electric energy that you get billed for, as I clarified earlier.

MiracleWatt Return Policy

MiracleWatt offers you a 90-day money back guarantee where you can return the product and get a refund, but it should not be damaged or broken.

But know that you need to pay for the shipping in this case, which means that you end up losing time and money.

And if you are trying to look for MiracleWatt consumer reports showing their real savings on their electric bills, then good luck wasting your time trying to find any.

Conclusion – Is Miracle Watt a Scam or Legit?

I wouldn’t say that MiracleWatt is a total scam because they offer a money back guarantee.

But I don’t recommend getting in the loop of purchasing these magical boxes that claim to save you money based on incorrect justifications.

That’s my conclusion of this MiracleWatt review.

If you want real devices that can help you save electricity and cut your bill, then the following section below will be for you.

Alternatives to MiracleWatt That Work?

Yes, and there are many.

But these should be based on real and clear explanations, such as:

  1. Devices that can regulate the operation of other appliances, like timers for electric water heaters, smart thermostats for AC, or motion detector for lights.
  2. Device that generate electricity from other forms of energy, like solar chargers, solar cookers such as Gosun Fusion, micro wind turbines for small consumers, …etc.
  3. Or appliances that work based on a new efficient technology that is recognized, like Energy Star certified appliances and LED lights.

Don’t go after devices that are unproven, but advertised as “magical” solutions without real proof and logical explanation about how they work on reducing electric bills.

If you are interested in more specific solutions, check out my list of home electricity saving devices.

These all can help you reduce your electricity bills, but if you want to eliminate your bill almost entirely, then the solution is to find a free energy source, like solar energy for example.
