Summary: The Smart Solar Box plans and guide give unrealistic claims of creating a solar system with a battery within few hours, which could cut more than half of your electric bill, and supply you with electricity in case the grid goes down.
Recommended for US Homeowners:
What Is Smart Solar Box?
Smart Solar Box is a training program with videos and a PDF guide that are supposed to show you how you can create a small solar panel system with batteries for your home that can help you cut your electric bill by up to 68% or even more.
And the founder, Ryan Tanner, promises you that you can do it all by yourself for around $200, and you can build the complete system today within few hours from now, and connect it to your home’s electrical system.
But from my experience as an electrical engineer, especially in the solar panel system field, I know that you need a bigger system in order to cut your bill with this percentage, and you need professional with experience in order to design and install the system for you.
How come that Ryan gives you these promises?
The answer comes next.
How Does The Smart Solar Box Work?
The Smart Solar Box founder tells you that you can create such an efficient system for such a low cost because he found a way that can help the solar panel system to charge a battery at double of the normal speed, thus, half the time that it would normally need with traditional systems.
And he says that this means that you can now use only few PV panels in order to charge batteries that are enough to supply your home with electricity for many hours in case that your home goes off-grid, and you can use it to supply your home with electricity even with the grid available, which means lowering your bill.
And he claims that if you increase the system size, you can even start give the excess to the utility and probably get paid for it.
He tells you that this arrangement allows you to set up a complete system for a 3-storey house for around $980 only.
But are these claims realistic? Or is the Smart Solar Box a hoax?
Does The Smart Solar Box Really Work?
Unfortunately, the claims given in the sales video of the Smart Solar Box on the Smart Power for All website are unrealistic and misleading.
First of all, the system you would need to power a complete house, or to cut the bill by up to 68% requires many more than few panels, and doubling the speed of charging a battery doesn’t make it possible to rely on only two or four small panels as you saw in the video.
Secondly, the problem is not in the ability to charge batteries fast, but in the PV panels ability to produce electricity that can charge these panels, and as long as these panels have the same efficiency, there’s no way to charge batteries at half of the normal time.
Thirdly, you need professional to design and install the system for you, so that they find the right location, orientation, tilt angle, and fix it properly so that it doesn’t fall down and hurt someone.
And lastly, you need the utility company’s approval in order to connect a solar system to your meter that is connected to their grid.
Overall, the Smart Solar Box plans might be good if you want to create a small system that can charge few batteries, but not a system that can be connected to a house that is supplied by the grid, and definitely, not a system that can power a complete house with $200 total cost.

What about All The Positive Smart Power 4 All Reviews?
These Smart Solar Box scam reviews were mostly created by marketers, and not by professionals in the solar energy industry.
These people would benefit from promoting the program to you and get a commission if you click on the links in their reviews to visit the Smart Power 4 All website and buy the Smart Solar Box course and plans.
And even the websites where these reviews were published, they are either low general sites that have nothing to do with solar energy, or low quality sites that were created just to promote such programs like the Smart Solar Box and the Moray Generator scam.
Any Legit Smart Solar Box Customer Reviews?
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any customer reviews or consumer reports for the Smart Solar Box by Ryan Tanner from people who purchased the program, neither on Trustpilot, nor on any similar site, although he claims that his guide was used by over 17,340 people so far.
Inside The Smart Solar Box Program
If you join Ryan Tanner’s program, you will get a PDF guide with videos that are going to show you how to set up a complete system that can charge car batteries with solar PV panels, and how to convert the electricity from the DC form into the AC form that is used at homes, through a device called the “inverter”.
This is similar to the DIY Home Energy program that is supposed to teach you how to set up a complete system for your home and even create your own PV panels by yourself.
Smart Solar Box Plans Price
The cost of getting Ryan Tanner’s Smart Solar Box plans and guide is a one-time payment of $37, and you will be offered to purchase other optional upsells.

100% Proven Alternative to Smart Solar Box Plans to Eliminate Bills?
You can save more than 68% or even completely eliminate your electric bill with solar panels, but not with such a small system like the one in the Smart Solar Box plans.
But you need professionals to design the system, install it, connect it to your home’s panel, get the utility company’s approval, commission it, and operate it.
And although the complete system to eliminate your bills entirely costs more than $200, but don’t worry!
You can install a complete solar system for your home with $0 investment!
Yes, that’s true, because many companies in the solar panel industry can help you find financing options for your solar panel system, so that you install it and connect it with zero cost on your side.
SunPower is one of the best companies in this field, and they can help you find the best financing solution.
You can go to the SunPower website, energy the zip code of your area, complete a short survey, and you can get an appointment with their team to discuss with you the available options.
No commitment required.
This is the real way to eliminate electric bills with solar panels, and not with a small system like the Smart Solar Box by Ryan Tanner.
And if you want a battery that can power essential appliances in case of grid failure, then you can get one of the Jackery portable power stations that can be charged with small solar panels.
I hope that my honest Smart Solar Box review was helpful for you and saved you the time and trouble before you try to apply what is in the program and get disappointed that you can’t slash your electric bill by up to 68% today.
